Stevo Restic's dramatic extra-time header completed a second-leg turnaround for Pohang Steelers against Bunyodkor.
The South Korean side defeated Bunyodkor 4-1 on Wednesday for a 5-4 win on aggregate that secures their place in the semi-finals of the Asian Champions League.
A Denilson brace plus a Kim Jae-sung strike put Pohang in control following last week's 3-1 defeat to the Uzbeks in Tashkent.
Bunyodkor substitute Victor Karpenko forced extra time, howev! er, when he struck two minutes from time only for Ristic to grab the decisive goal 11 minutes into extra period.
Both sides made a slow start to the game with Bunyodkor eager to defend their advantage but it was the hosts who were first to threaten when No Byung-jun pounced on a rebound from Denilson's initial shot but the striker compounded to fire over with the goal begging.
However, they opened the scoring less than a minute into the second half when Ristic played a pass for Kim and the substitute made no mistake.
Denilson then scored Pohang's second on the night to level the scores on aggregate when he headed home from a corner before the Brazilian looked to have done enough to send his side through in normal time with his second in the 77th minute.
But Karpenko's long-range effort with two minutes remaining forced extra time where Pohang prevailed when Ristic headed home and send his side into the semi-finals.
